McCook Public Schools board of education members accepted the resignation of fellow board member Ron Soden at a special meeting Wednesday evening. Soden offered no reason for his resignation in an Aug. 28 letter to Superintendent Dr. Don Marchant and board members. The resignation is effective Aug. 21.
