Farm-rancher accused of animal neglect

INDIANOLA -- An Indianola-area farmer-rancher was complying Monday afternoon with an order from the Red Willow County Sheriff's Office that he dispose of the bodies of 111 cattle that died on his mother's farm southwest of Indianola. The farmer/rancher, whose name has not been released, could face charges of animal cruelty in the death of those cattle and for the poor health of 143 head of cattle sold in January, all of which he owned and held in pens and pastures at his mother's farm, which is south and east of his farmhouse.. ...

LINCOLN -- Nebraska Wildlife Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person using a hoop net to catch fish from the Republican River near Orleans. It isn't a good sign when a state official in charge of a controversial issue steps down before the issue is settled. On the other hand, the issues, Nebraska's dispute with Kansas over the Republican River, probably won't get any worse. In fact, perhaps a new perspective will move the issue off the railroad tracks where it has been stalled for the past decade...

How did you do with the binocular challenge from two weeks ago? I didn't do too bad. I found all the objects except for the elusive M38. Mars and M35 were no problem, but chasing down the other three proved a challenge. Especially since you had to have been almost laying down or bent over almost backwards to get a good view of the sky almost directly overhead...
