Not gone yet

Dear Editor,

That old saying about reading of your demise in the paper is true, it is very strange. That is how some of the local McCook Kiwanians felt about Walt Sehnert's column in Monday's Gazette.

We appreciate Mr. Sehnert's homage of our rich history. However, reading of our death when we know we are terminally ill, but not dead yet, was quite a shock.

Hopefully, we will be able to make our last wishes known, and our "Last Will and Testament" will stand even though our life support has been unplugged.

If we do decide to disband, we will make that decision. It may not be this week.
