Have you ever looked a chicken in the eye? It isn't pretty. Trust me, I know. When I was little, gathering the eggs was one of my daily chores. It seemed like every time I arrived at the chicken house, one or two hens were still sitting on their nests. My mother assured me that I could reach under those hens and collect any eggs that I found. Easy for her to say. She apparently didn't speak "chicken."...
