Charlotte Graf Ruff
GERING -- Charlotte Graf Ruff, 95, formerly of Gering, died Thursday (Oct. 11, 2001) at the Mitchell Care Center.
She was born Oct. 6, 1906, at St. Petersburg, Russia, to Jacob and Maria (Lind) Graf. The family immigrated to the United States in 1907, when she was 10 months old. Her early childhood was spent in Lincoln, and then in the panhandle of Nebraska.
In 1923 she married Fred Ruff. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; one son, Tom; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include five sons, Jim Ruff and wife, Karen of Culbertson, Fred Ruff and wife, Shirley, and John Ruff and wife, Connie, all of Scottsbluff, Harvey Ruff and wife, Karen of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Gary Ruff and wife, Dorcas of Chamois, Mo.; one daughter, Imogene Stark and husband, Glenn of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; one daughter-in-law, Joanie Ruff Nienke of Bountiful, Utah; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Services were today at the Gering Memorial Chapel in Gering. Interment was at the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.
