Week Eight Friday Night Lights Football Heroes - 8-Man, 6-Man.

*Andre Martin, Hunter Luther, Dane Meyer-Howells-Dodge - 6-2, 185 lb senior Andre Martin picked off a Humphrey Archangel's pass with under a minute left In the game, sealing a 40-32 victory for the Jaguars in a battle of the Class D-2 powerhouses. Archangels had put together an 18 play drive and were facing a fourth and eight on the Howells-Dodge 12 yard line when Martin pulled off the game saver. Hunter Luther led the ground game with 216 yards on 22 carries with TD runs of 41 and 65 yards. QB Dane Meyer completed 7-10 passes for 87 yards including a 42 yard TD strike to sophomore Oliver Belina. The talented Meyer also added two rushing touchdowns on runs of 2 and 7 yards.
*Preston Foxhoven, Jace Panning, Tyson Jackson Crofton - QB Preston Foxhoven completed 8 of 9 passes for 175 yards and 3 TDs in Crofton’s 42-16 win over Boyd County. Jase Panning caught 2 of those passes for 78 yards with both going for touchdowns (50 and 28 yards). Rugged 210 lb junior RB Tyson Jackson added 101 yards rushing with a touchdown on just 8 touches, giving him a massive 1,470 yards and 35 touchdowns during the regular season for the Warriors.
*Gage Hedstrom Lane Bybee, James Eby, Ben Barlow O'Neill St Mary's - 3 time All-Stater Gage Hedstrom rushed for 227 yards and 5 TDs on only 13 carries and completed 7 of 10 passes for 109 yards and another TD. Gage also made 10 tackles in St Mary's big 80-12 victory over Neligh-Oakdale. Lane Bybee caught 3 Gage Hedstrom passes for 48 yards with a TD while Ben Barlow caught 2 passes for 50 yards and had a 43 yard Pick 6 on defense. James Eby also had a big night defensively, picking off a pair of passes in the St Mary's win.
*Tucker Matthies, Wyatt Crosley-Clarkson-Leigh - Matthies galloped for172 yards on 27 carries with a 27 yard TD run while Wyatt Crosley sprinted for 137 yards on 19 carries with a 47 yard TD jaunt in a 45-36 loss to David City.
*Matthew Schindler, Mac Carlson-Wausau-Osmond - Schindler darted for 193 yards on 17 yards with scoring runs covering 30, 30 and 52 yards in Wausa-Osmond's 54-20 win over Niobrara-Verdigre. Mac Carlson went off for 127 yards on just 12 carries which included TD runs of 11, 3, 44 and 9 yards. Carlson was also 3 of 4 through the air for 122 yards and a 35 yard scoring toss to Matthew Schindler. Carlson also threw a 33 yard scoring strike to Lincoln Thorell.
*Colsten Rodriguez, Brady Raemakers, Caleb Rood-Twin River - Rodriguez completed 16 of 24 passes for 245 yards and 2 TDs in a 44-34 loss to Humphrey-Lindsay. Raemakers caught 8 passes for 165 yards with a pair of scores, He also had 12 tackles and added a sack on defense. Sophomore Caleb Rood had 8 tackles and returned a kickoff 60 yards for a score
*Karson Kallhoff, Jarek Erickson-Elgin Public/Pope John - Kohlhoff completed 13 of 17 passes for 258 yards and 4 TDs in EPPJ's 48-7 victory over Ainsworth. Erickson caught 8 of those aerials for 175 yards and a pair of TDs.
*Maurice Robinson Sandhills-Thedford - Powerful Knights RB bolted for 208 big ones and 4 TDs on 24 carries in Sandhills-Thedford’s 44-28 win over Hyannis.
*Dom Boppree, Eli Van Renon-Hyannis - Boppree kept Hyannis competitive in that 44-28 loss to Sandhills-Thedford by completing 14 of 27 passes for 148 yards and 2 TDs. He also added 106 yards on the ground. Van Reynon caught 7 passes from 99 yards and had 12 tackles (6 solos/5 TFL)
**1000 Yard Rusher Alert - 2nd Time Around**
*Luke Shoemaker, Ky Cargill, Oklan Soto-Central Valley - Junior RB Luke Shoemaker eclipsed the 1000 yard rushing mark for the second straight season by running for 271 yards and 4 TDs on 24 carries in the Cougars 52-12 conquest of CWC. Ky Cargill added 84 yards rushing with a touchdown while sophomore Oklan Soto had 15 tackles (9 solos, 3 TFL) defensively.

*Cael Dubas, Landon Gulp, Isaac Supik-Fullerton - Warrior sophomore QB Cael Dubas vaulted over the 1000 yard rushing mark by gaining 254 yards and 5 TDs on 25 carries in the Warriors 50-34 win over Riverside. Sophomore Landon Gulp chipped in 102 yards on 15 totes (1 TD) and made 15 stops defensively with a monster 14 SOLO tackles. Freshman Isaac Supik added 13 tackles with TEN solos. Keep an eye on this Fullerton team. They are YOUNG.
**1000 Yard Rusher Alert - 2nd Time Around**
*Adam Denkert-Kenesaw - The multi talented Denkert rushed 28 times for 153 yards and 4 TDs, caught 3 passes for 42 yards and made 15 tackles in Kenesaw’s 42-20 win over Blue Hill. Denkert’s 153 rushing yards vaulted him over the 1000 yard rushing mark for the second straight season.

*Grant Kozisek, Rocco Hageman, Gunner Fencil-East Butler - QB Grant Kozisek zipped for 144 yards and 3 scores on only 12 carries in the Tigers 72-12 rout of Centennial. That lifts Kozisek over the thousand yard rushing mark for the season (1,014 yds). The mobile signal caller also completed 2 of 3 passes for 62 yards and a TD toss to Gunner Fencil. Fencil also had a rushing TD while tough Rocco Hageman added 99 yards on the ground and 3 TDs on a mere 9 totes.
*Austin Sudbeck, Jason Heimes, Mason Kraus-Hartington-Newcastle - QB Austin Sudbeck was a monster in the Wildcats 49-14 win over a banged up Bloomfield team. Sudbeck rushed 24 times for 172 yards and 4 TDs while passing for another 145 yards and a pair of scores, going nine for 17. Heimes (2 receptions/58 yds) and Kraus (5 for 61) each had a TD catch in the win.
*Kam Sealey, Wes Biltoft, Logan Tomky-Sandy Creek - Sealey was 11 of 16 passing for 211 yards and 4 TDs and also rushed just 6 times but gained 80 yards and an additional pair of scores in the Cougars 71-0 win over Southern. All-State junior Wes Biltoft had 2 receiving TDs (41, 13 yards) while Logan Tomky (3 catches-74 yds) and Wyatt Hemberger (2 for 41) each came up with a scoring catch.
*Taylor Herman Crawford - Six-Man QB supreme connected on 13 of 17 passes for 190 yards and 4 TDs in a 45-0 win over Minatare. With one regular season remaining, Herman has completed 62-126 passes (65%) for 1,496 yards with 29 TDs with only 4 INTs.
*1000 Yard Rusher Alert*
*Cash Hastreiter-Humphrey-Lindsey - Hastreiter saved the best for last, exploding for 351 yards and 4 TDs on 34 carries in Humphrey-Lindsay's 44-34 win over Twin River. He also had 11 tackles on defense. The big night lifted Hastreiter over the one thousand yard rushing mark as he finished with 1,111 yards for the season.
*Wyatt Fulton, Hunter Gravett-Johnson-Brock - Fulton hit 11 of 15 passes for 132 yards and a TD and added 2 more scores while rushing for 87 yards on 16 totes in Johnson Brock's huge 28-22 victory over Lourdes Central Catholic. Gravett led the ground attack with 141 yards and a score on 21 touches.
*Jesse Reyes-Maxwell - Maxwell's do it all quarterback ran for 204 yards and 4 touchdowns on 21 carries in the Tigers 47-28 win over Brady. Reyes also took a 76 yard kickoff return to the house. For the season Reyes has 1,337 yards rushing with 28 touchdowns heading into the playoffs, aka The Holy Season.
*1000 Yard Rusher Alert*
*Jace Schukar-Loomis - Went over the 1000 yard rushing mark in the Wolves 44-34 win over Overton. Schukar rushed 33 times for 164 yards and 3 TDs, lifting him to 1,064 yards with 21 touchdowns for the season. Oh and by the way he also caught a 19 yard scoring pass in the win.
*Graham Trompke, Dawsen McCarter, Brock McCarter-Overton - Hey, don't think Overton didn't have some impressive stats in that 44-34 loss to Loomis because they certainly did. QB Grant Trompke hit an impressive 27 of 30 passes, good for a gigantic 342 yards with FIVE touchdowns. Senior Dawsen McCarter latched on to 14 of those passes for 225 yards and 2 TDs. He also had 6 tackles and a fumble recovery. Brock McCarter had 7 catches for 104 yards with 2 TDs and made 15 stops with 10 solo tackles.
*Bradyn Degenhardt-Elm Creek - Hit the gas pedal for 234 yards and FIVE TDs on 31 carries in Elm Creek's 50-44 win over EMF. That gives Degenhardt 985 yards rushing and 18 TDS for the regular season.
*Yahya Harris, Orin Grint, Carter Hall-Twin Loup - Sophomore QB Yahya Harris completed 5 with 6 passes for 137 yards and 3 TDs and made 11 tackles in Twin Loup’s 40-14 win over Burwell. Classmate Orin Grint rushed 15 times for 108 yards with 3 TDs and caught 2 passes for another 63 yards with a TD. Carter Hall added 110 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries and caught three passes for 74 yards with another score plus making 15 tackles on defense.
*Ethan Latta, August Shaw-Dundy County/Stratton - Latta rushed just 9 times for 88 yards but FIVE of those rushing attempts went for TDs. August Shaw also returned a kickoff 55 yards for a score in the Tigers 65-13 romp over Southern Valley.
*Brennan Lindler-Pleasanton - Outstanding QB was a perfect 4 for 4 passing for 83 yards and three touchdowns in Pleasanton’s season closing 62-12 win over Sandhills Valley. Lindler completes the season with 1,499 yards passing with 20 touchdowns and just 4 INTs and 586 rushing yards with ten touchdowns.
*Landen Hansen, Landon Rojewski Hampton - Hansen completed 11 of 15 passes 262 yards and a monster SIX touchdowns in Hawks 73-20 win over Ansley-Litchfield. Rojewski was responsible for catching eight of Hansen's 11 completions, good for 219 yards and FOUR scores. He also made eight tackles.
*1000 Yard Rusher Alert*
*Nevada Gloystein-Heartland (Henderson) - The 6-0, 185 lb junior darted for 171 yards and 4 touchdowns on 36 carries in Heartland’s 56-30 loss to Mead in their season finale. In the process, Gloystein pulled off the nearly impossible feat by gaining 1,025 rushing yards for the season for a team that won just ONE game this year. Nevada also made 89 monster tackles defensively with 53 of those being solo stops. This young man is a BALLER!
