Week Eleven Friday Night Lights Football Heroes - 8-Man, 6-Man.

*Gage Hedstrom, Ben Barlow, James Eby-O'Neill St. Mary's - Gage Hedstrom flat out exploded in St Marys 66-24 victory over Sandhills-Thedford. Hedstrom completed 12 of 13 passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 21 times for 208 yards and FIVE more scores. Ben Barlow caught 6 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown while James Eby had 4 receptions for 70 yards and a score.
*Hunter Luther, Oliver Belina,Dane Meyer, Chase Luther-Howells Dodge - Luther rushed for 149 yards and TD runs covering 42 and 5 yards on 32 carries in the Jaguars 30-8 victory over Lawrence-Nelson. Oliver Belina rushed 3 times for 82 yards, one of which was a 72 yard TD run. He also had a 60 yard TD reception in the game. Quarterback Dane Meyer was 2 for 2 for 84 yards passing with that TD pass to Belina. He also had an interception on defense. Speaking of defense, Chase Luther led the way with 12 tackles (6 solos).
*Gage Walton, Kobe Maertins, Kohen Lingenfelter-Plainview - Gage Walton exploded for 254 yards and 4 TDs on 36 carries in Plainview’s shocking 64-44 victory on the road over Dundy County/Stratton. Freshman quarterback Kobe Maertins ran 10 times for 55 yards and 3 TDs plus completed 7 of 9 passes for an additional 121 yards and THREE more touchdowns. Kobe Lingenfelter caught 4 of Maertin's passes for 82 yards and a score and converted 7 of 8 PAT attempts. He also nailed a 32 yard field goal in the big win.
*Gavin Geilenkirchen, Tucker Czarnick, Brenden Johanns-Humphrey Archangels - Geilenkirchen rushed 16 times for 108 yards and 2 TDs. Tucker Czarnick caught 7 passes for 75 yards with a touchdown, had 10 tackles and made an interception while Brenden Johanns had a monster 25 tackles (8 solos) in Archangel's 34-20 loss to Central Valley.
*Kam Sealey, Austin Clark, Josh Spray-Sandy Creek - Sophomore QB Kam Sealey had himself quite a night in Sandy Creek's 45-6 win over Bridgeport. Sealey completed 17 of 26 passes for 153 yards and a pair of TDs and rushed 17 times for 147 yards with an additional FOUR TDs. Defensively, Austin Clark led the way with 11 tackles while Josh Spray had 8 tackles and 3 sacks.
*Devin Brummer, Lane Heimes, Kotner Koch-Wynot - In Wynot’s 43-12 win over Hitchcock County; Quarterback Devin Brummer completed 17 of 26 passes for 130 yards and 3 TDS. Lane Heimes escaped for 183 yards and 3 TDs on 16 carries and made 12 tackles while Kotner Koch reeled in 12 aerials for 93 yards and 3 scores, had an interception and made eight tackles.
*Jacob Barber, Houston Billeter-Southwest (Bartley) - Barber made 10 tackles, had a 22 yard Pick 6, rushed for one score and had two kick returns for 65 total yards in Southwest’s 27-23 win over SEM. Houston Billeter had 90 yards rushing, a 35 yard touchdown reception and kicked off 4 times, putting 3 in the endzone for touchbacks.
*Dante Horner, Ethan Latta, August Shaw-Dundy County/Stratton - Horner completed 19 of 37 passes for a monster 318 yards and 4 in Tigers 64-44 loss to Plainview. Ethan Latta rushed for 131 yards and a pair of scores on 20 carries and caught 8 passes for 171 yards with a TD, made 17 tackles on defense with 10 solos and made an interception. August Shaw caught 8 passes for 63 yards and 2 TDs and made 14 tackles defensively.
*Luke Shoemaker, Lincoln Nekoliczek-Central Valley - Junior standout Luke Shoemaker rushed for 145 yards and a pair of TDs on a grueling 41 carries, hauled in 6 passes for 76 yards and made 9 tackles defensively in Central Valley’s 34-20 victory over Humphrey Archangels. Sophomore QB Lincoln Nekoliczek completed 13-20 aerials for 120 yards in the win.
*Wyatt Frey-Lawrence-Nelson - Junior star rushed for 160 yards and a TD on 24 carries and posted 15 tackles in Lawrence-Nelson's season ending 30-8 loss to Howells-Dodge. For the season, Frey completed 75 of 124 passes for 1,116 yards with 15 touchdowns (4 INTs), rushed for 1,591 on 152 carries and 27 touchdowns and made 98 tackles (43 solo stops). Quite the year for the Division One recruit.
*Maurice Robinson-Sandhills-Thedford - Outstanding junior rushed for 157 yards on 25 carries with 3 TDs in Sandhills-Thedford's 66-24 loss to St Mary's. He also had 89 yards passing and six tackles in the game. For the season, Robinson rushed for 1,846 yards and 32 TDs, had 771 yards passing with 9 TDs and made 68 tackles on defense with four interceptions. BALLER!
*Tyson Jackson, Preston Foxhoven-Crofton - Junior Tyson Jackson continued his ground rushing yardage assault by jetting for 251 yards on 24 carries and touchdown runs covering 48, 4, 33, 1, and 7 yards in Crofton’s 60-12 victory over Hemingford. Preston Foxhoven completed 6 of 10 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown, rushed 3 times for 32 yards and had a 40 yard Pick 6 defensively. By the way, Jackson now leads the state in 8 man football rushing yards with 2,113 big ones and 48 touchdowns.
*Carter Eikmeier, Jett Vrbka-Shelby/Rising City - Eickmeier rushed for 143 yards and 3 TDs on 24 carries while Jett Vrbka paced the defense with 9 tackles, 2 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery in Shelby-Rising City’s 28-6 over Hemingford.
*Chance Daake, Preston Beattie-Sumner-Eddyville-Miller - Daake completed 17 of 23 passes for 192 yards and a pair of TDs in SEM’s 27-23 loss to Southwest. His favorite target was Preston Beattie, who caught 8 aerials for 125 yards and a score.
*Kayden Ramm, Drew Schmaderer, Owen Littau-Stuart - Ramm completed 12 of 18 passes for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Broncos 31-25 victory over Leyton. Drew Schmaderer caught 6 of those passes for 88 yards and both touchdowns while making 9 tackles and posting an interception on defense. Owen Littau led the defense with 10 tackles and fumble recovery.
*Tyson Sullivan, Braydon Gardner-Wallace - Sullivan rushed 8 times for 158 yards and 3 TDs in Wallace's 54-36 loss to Red Cloud. Gardner had 69 yards on 5 carries and a reception of 60 yards for a score and 15 tackles on defense (11 solos).
*Connor Rust, Mason Bolin, Jaxon Snell-Red Cloud - Rust escaped for 267 yards and 3 TDs on 28 carries and Red Cloud's 54-36 win over Wallace. He was also 1 of 2 passing for 5 yards and a score, caught 3 passes for 69 yards, made 2 interceptions and had 6 stops on defense plus a Pick 6. Both Mason Bolin and Jaxon Snell recorded 13 tackles in the quarterfinal win.
*Colt Van Anne, Alec Watchhorn-Leyton - Watchhorn completed 8 of 8 passes for 73 yards and a pair of scores and rushed 15 times for 105 yards and a touchdown in Leyton's heartbreaking 31-25 loss to Stuart. Van Anne led the defense with 10 tackles (ALL solos), FIVE of which were for losses.
