2026 NEMFCA 8-Man Hall of Fame Inductee Salutes - Brett Kaczor, Ewing High School

This is our third of fifteen 2026 Nebraska Eight Man Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductees. We proudly salute the one and only, multi-talented Brett Kazcor of Ewing.
BRETT KACZOR – EWING HIGH SCHOOL
From 2005 to 2008, Brett was an outstanding dual-threat quarterback and linebacker for legendary Coach Brock Eichelberger and the Tigers. During this historic era, he led the program to four consecutive playoff runs and capped the 2008 season as the Class D-2 State Champions. In the process, Brett was honored by the Nebraska Prep Sports media and was named: 1st Team All-District (3x), 1st Team All-State (2x), Class D-2 player of the Year, and was selected as the Captain of the All-State Team. On the field, he set a school record for passing yards in a season (1,726) while also accounting for 130 total touchdowns and tallying over 400 career tackles.
In the summer of 2009, Brett was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player of the Eight Man All-Star Game and was also selected to play in the Nebraska vs. Kansas All-Star Game. He then went on to a highly successful college career at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he became a 4-time letterwinner, a 3-time All-Conference selection, an NAIA All-American, and the NWU Male Athlete of the Year.
He is most proud of the lifelong friendships with coaches and teammates that were built along the way. Brett now serves as a teacher in his hometown and returned to the Sertoma Game in 2024 as an assistant coach for the West All-Stars. The NEMFCA is honored to now welcome him into the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

*1000 Yard Guy sez…..Brett Kaczor. One of my personal 8-Man football favorites of all time. Just a DUDE! His State Championship 2008 performance pretty much sums up what kind of fabulous athlete Brett Kaczor was and probably still is. In Ewing’s 49-24 victory over the mighty Humphrey St. Francis Brett ran for three touchdowns, passed for three more and made 17 tackles on defense. Just another day at the office for the brilliant Ewing star.
Also an All-State Basketball player, Brett Kaczor would have been an All-State Ping Pong player had Ewing offered that sport.
You catch my drift. A true NEMFCA Hall-of-Fame no brainer.
