County adds private airports to zoning regs

McCOOK, Neb. — At their weekly meeting Monday morning, the Red Willow County commissioners unanimously accepted a recommendation from the planning board and will add the words "and private" to their zoning regulations for airports. The county's zoning book will now state that the intent of Section 4.09.01 is "to protect the safe use of public and private airports and their airport hazard area, in the county, by limiting the location and height of structures within the operation, approach, transition and turning zones around airports, as designated on the official zoning maps of Red willow County.". ...
