I didn't know it until he had signed up, but when you're in boot camp you can't have contact with the your new recruit for the first six weeks of the extensive training. **Dear Editor, Regarding the article on the caps and socks for the troops: a wonderful idea. The hangup is the cost of the postage to get the articles to them. Since our congressmen get free mailing privileges, how about free mailing privileges for our troops? After all, they're the ones putting their lives on the line every day.
