And, when they do so, the council members need to realize that this matter is about a lot more than water quality and quantity. Life could be pretty cruel and grim back in 1902. I found it especially sad that in the reporting of the death and funeral services for Conrad Amen's little one-year-old girl, her given name was never once mentioned. "The little one had been placed in its cab to sleep and in the morning was found dead.
