It's looking like an odd Thanksgiving

It's shaping up to be an odd Thanksgiving holiday around my house. For the first time in years I am not defrosting a frozen turkey in the bottom of the refrigerator, nor am I baking pies or peeling carrots and hard-boiled eggs for a relish plate. Mom's china will remain in the far right hand cabinet, and I won't be trying to figure out how to get eight adults and two grandchildren around a dining room table squeezed into a kitchen that measures 10 feet x 10 feet...

Dear Editor, In regard to the city buying the small plot from J.T. Harris -- let's speak in terms of reality. Was the plot really worth $3.19 a square foot? Let's say that the plot belonged to me, would I have gotten that much money? I really doubt it...
