Week Six Friday Night Lights Football Heroes - 11-Man

*Connor Sams-Gretna East - Exploded for 328 yards on 17 carries with touchdown runs of 1 and 6 yards in the Griffins 62-21 victory over Platteview. Sams, who has run for 549 yards and four TDs the past two games, raised his season rushing total to 962 yards (10 TDs).
*1000 Yard Rusher Alert*
*Jaydon Sutko-Elkhorn - Reached the coveted thousand-yard rushing mark with his brief appearance in the Storm’s 63-0 rout of Omaha Burke. Sutko ran just 6 times but rolled for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns increasing his season total to 1,009 yards.
*Dominic Beebout, Trystan Beebout, Parker Chavez-Valentine - The Beebout boys hooked up for a couple of long distance pass/catch TDs in Valentine's 28-21 win over Mitchell. Trystan Beebout, who threw for 222 yards, connected with Dominic Beebout for scoring plays of 92 and 66 yards. Dominic had 7 catches for 214 yards in the game but also recorded an electrifying 99 yard Pick 6. He also made 8 tackles and recovered a fumble for good measure. Parker Chavez led the Badger defense with 19 stops (12 solos), recovered a fumble and had a 90 yard touchdown run on offense.

*Will Janssen-Syracuse - Converted QB cut loose for 253 yards and 3 TDs on 20 carries in the Rockets 49-0 thumping of Nebraska City. That raises Will’s season rushing total to 1,090 big ones with 13 touchdowns. If you recall, Janssen passed for 1,047 yards as a sophomore.
*Derek Tonjes-Ashland-Greenwood - Completed 25 of 32 passes for 315 yards and 3 TDs in the Bluejays 42-7 win over Boys Town. Landon Mohs (4 catches/95 yds), Sam Mundt (2/32 yds) and Hunter Hatzenbuehler (1 for 41 yds) all caught scoring passes in the win.
*Will Brockhaus, Callen Marshall, Blake Flood-Norfolk Catholic - 6-0, 165 lb junior wingback Will Brockhaus stepped into the RB position for injured starter Nathan Timmerman (ankle) and was a shining star in Catholic’s 37-20 win over West Point-Beemer. Brockhaus scooted for 185 yards and 3 TDs on 20 carries, caught 6 passes for 74 yards and another TD, accumulated 68 kick return yards and had an interception return for 15 yards for a total of 342 all-purpose yards.
Sophomore RB Blake Flood added 96 yards on 18 carries with a TD and QB Callen Marshall completed 11 of 14 passes for 152 yards and a score in the win.
**1000 Yard Rusher Alert** - Second Time Around
*Tay Tay Jenkins-Omaha Westside - Jenkins was handed the ball just 10 times in Westside’s 63-7 win over Fremont, but still rolled up 163 yards on the ground with 4 TDs. That increases Tay Tay’s 2025 rushing total to 1,108 yards (15 TDs) after he exploded for 1,993 yards a year ago. In only 19 games over a season and a half, Jenkins has compiled 3,101 yards and 37 touchdowns for the Warriors.
*Kip Brigham, Eli Shada, Grady Meyer, Harrison Krueger-Wahoo - The amazing Kip Brigham rambled for 270 yards and 4 TDs on 16 touches and had a pair of receptions for 194 yards and an additional score. Krueger led the defense with 11 stops (2 TFL) while Eli Shada and Grady Kelly each chipped in with 8 tackles. Incidentally, Brigham has 1,472 yards rushing after just 6 games.
*Myles Nielsen-West Point-Beemer - Bolted for 171 yards and 3 touchdowns on 16 carries in a 37-20 loss to Norfolk Catholic.
*Jordan Williams, Beau Wells, Colt Meyer-Ord - Junior QB Jordan Williams rambled for 201 yards and three touchdowns in Ord’s 21-14 victory over previously undefeated GICC. Beau Wells added 72 yards on 11 totes as the Chants piled up 332 yards on the ground in the huge win. Colt Meyer made 8 tackles defensively (1 sack) and was 3-3 on PAT kicks.
*Nate Kelly, Dylan Propp, Bearcats Defense-Scottsbluff -QB Nate Kelly ran for 176 yards and 3 TDs on 23 carries and completed 4 of 8 aerials for 75 yards which included a 34 yard scoring strike to Jace Allen. Dylan Propp made 11 tackles as the Scottsbluff “D” held Gering to 149 yards of total offense in the 34-7 win.
*Thomas Settje-Columbus Scotus - Senior RB rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns on just 10 carries in the Rocks 76-9 victory over Schuyler.
*Oliver Ladehoff-Arlington - Didn’t hit paydirt but still ran for 159 yards on 16 carries in Arlington’s 30- 14 victory over North Bend Central.
*Wyatt Jelinek, Javion Johnson-Raymond Central - QB Wyatt Jelinek was about as efficient through the air as it gets, completing 4 of 5 passes for 152 yards and FOUR TDs in Raymond’s 49-20 win over Palmyra. Javion Jackson caught three of Jelinek’s pass completions for 126 yards, all three going for scores.
*Will Anderson, Jermaine Green-Bellevue West - Anderson reached perfection through the air by hitting 13 of 13 passes for 238 yards and FIVE TDs in the Thunderbirds' 65-0 rout over South Sioux City. Jermaine Green caught 3 passes for 86 yards, two of which were TDs. Nine different receivers caught passes in the Bellevue West win..
*Parker Volk, Jack Poppe, Haydan Smith, Andrew Waters-Doniphan-Trumbull - Parker Volk completed 17 of 22 passes for 237 yards and 4 TDs in Doniphan-Trumbull's 44-14 win over Superior. Jack Poppe (of course) caught 8 passes for 129 yards and 2 TDs, made 10 tackles and recovered a fumble. Haydan Smith rushed 6 times for 132 yards and a pair of scores, one of which was a 79 yard TD jaunt, while Andrew Waters led the Cardinals “D” with 13 stops (11 solos).
*Madden Brabec, Jace Stewart-Wood River - Eagles QB Madden Brabec was faster than a sneeze through a screen door in Wood River’s 25-20 win over Fillmore Central. Brabec escaped for 292 yards and 3 TDs on 19 carries, completed 5-11 passes for 114 yards and another score and made 14 tackles, 13 of which were solos. Brabec’s TD toss was a sweet 76 yard bomb to Jace Stewart.
*Will Gutz, Knox Naughton-Bennington - Junior RB Will Gutz ran for 147 yards and 3 TDs on 15 carries in the Badgers 42-0 win over Blair. Sophomore Knox Naughton added a pair of touchdown scampers covering 58 and 55 yards in the Bennington shutout.
*Lance Roth, Isaac Roth, Zeb Reil-Milford - QB Landon Roth hit 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 231 yards and 3 TDs in the Eagles 35-12 win over Minden. Isaac Roth caught six of those passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns while Zeb Reil caught 7 passes for an even 100 yards and the other TD reception.
*Isaiah Traylor-Millard North - Raced for 235 yards on 16 carries with touchdown runs of 48, 9 and 5 yards plus a 61 yard touchdown reception in Millard North’s huge 42-14 win over Lincoln East.
*Angelo Walker-Omaha Creighton Prep - Was a driving force in Prep's big 31-16 win over Omaha Central, rolling for 98 yards on the ground with three touchdowns.
