Week Four Friday Night Lights Football Heroes - 8-Man, 6-Man.

*Bryce Kula, Adam Freezell-Osceola - Junior RB burst on to the scene by exploding for 327 yards on 27 carries and six touchdowns in the Bulldogs 46-14 win at Fullerton. Adam Freezell led the “D” with 18 stops (9 solos).
*Tyson Jackson-Crofton - Junior RB ran 20 times for 198 yards with scoring runs covering 32, 33, 4 yards in the Warriors 30-18 loss to Bloomfield. Jacskon also made 13 stops defensively and now has 861 yards and 21 TDs in just FOUR games.
*Brock Jeannoutot-Bloomfield - Thousand yard runner ripped off 183 yards on 31 totes with a 20 yard TD in the Bees 30-18 win over Crofton. He also made 9 tackles with 8 solo stops.
*Gage Hedstrom, Lane Bybee, Ben Barlow-O’Neill St. Marys - QB Gage Hedstrom fired up his passing game to go along with his scary rushing game and the result was a 66-28 win over Creighton. Hedstrom completed 15 of 25 passes for 244 yards and SIX TDs and rushed 13 times for 151 yards and THREE more TDs. Ben Barlow, who was a 1000 yard receiver a year ago as a sophomore, had only 10 catches for 108 yards coming in, but that all changed when Barlow grabbed 9 receptions for 149 yards and FOUR TDs. And Lane Bybee? All the Dundy County/Stratton transfer did was give a fiery halftime speech when the game was tied 28-28. It must have worked as St. Marys outscored Creighton 38-0 in the 2nd half. Oh yeah, Bybee also caught 3 passes for 52 yards and forced a fumble on defense.
*Tanner Thompson-Laurel-Concord-Coleridge - Escaped for 157 yards on 13 carries with scoring dashes of 16, 68, 20 and 9 yards in a 56-12 “W” over Lutheran High NE.
*Austin Sudbeck, Jason Heimes-Hartington-Newcastle - QB Austin Sudbeck rushed just 9 times, but ran for 129 yards and FIVE TDs covering 19, 3, 23, 54, 5 and 15 yards. He also completed 7-11 passes for an additional 63 yards. Heimes rambled for 148 big ones on 15 totes with a 21 yard TD. Jason also took a 70 kickoff to the house in the Wildcats 50-16 win over Niobrara-Verdigre.
*Callen Schnitzler, Alec Schnitzler-Nebraska City Lourdes - The Schnitzler boys' brutal ground attack helped Lourdes CC outlast Freeman 54-40 in a terrific 8-Man shootout. Senior QB Callen ran for 278 yards and 4 TD runs covering 36, 3, 63 and 5 yards and had 18 tackles defensively. Sophomore Alec rushed 24 times for 163 yards with scoring runs of 6, 5 and 30 yards.
*Mac Carlson-Wausa-Osmond - Took off for 143 yards on 12 carries and a pair of touchdowns and tossed a scoring pass in Wausa-Osmond’s 42-6 victory over Boyd County.
*Wyatt Crosley, Tucker Matthies-Clarkson-Leigh - Crosley ran for 114 yards and 3 TDs on just 7 carries while Matthies churned his way for 123 yards and two TDs on 8 totes as the Patriots raced to a 52-0 halftime lead, en route to a 52-12 victory over Twin River .
*Kobe Maertins, Gage Walton-Plainview - Freshman QB Kobe Maertins hit 7 of 11 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown during the Pirates 63-20 victory over Elkhorn Valley. Young Maertins also rushed the ball 5 times for 61 yards and 2 more TDs. Senior Gage Walton ran for 66 yards on 12 carries, but FIVE of those were TD runs..
*Hunter Luther-Howells-Dodge - The talented Senior rushed 8 times for 138 yards with scoring runs covering 3, 30 and 55 yards in the Jaguars 44-8 win over Nebraska Christian.
*Jay Aschoff, Matthew Gubbels, Jahiem Hamik-Winside - Senior QB completed 17 of 22 passes for 195 yards and FIVE touchdowns as Winside rallied from a 28-25 3rd quarter deficit to best Lyons-Decatur NE 39-28. Senior Matt Gubbels (4 catches/58 yds) and sophomore Jahiem Hamik (7 receptions/67 yds) each hauled in a pair of scoring receptions in the fabulous 8-Man battle.
*Mason Roblee- Medicine Valley - 6-Man star QB accumulated 363 yards of total offense in Medicine Valley's 42-28 win over Ansley-Litchfield. Roblee hit 12 of 14 aerials for 191 yards and 2 TDs and exploded for 172 yards with scoring runs of 6, 17 and 15 yards on the ground in Raiders win. Remember, Med Valley was 0-8 a year ago and now 6-Man Coaching legend Scott Trimble (143 career wins) takes over and they have already won ONE more game than they did in 2024. (They are currently 1-2)
*Noah Zoltenko-Dundy County/Stratton - Bolted for 254 yards on 28 carries in the Tigers 32-14 win over Hi-Line.
*Nikolas Weibert Bridgeport - Bulldog QB completed 8 of 10 passes for 132 yards and 5 TDs and added 79 rushing yards on just 4 totes in a 58-6 conquest of Perkins County.
*Wyatt Fulton, Brody Koehler Johnson Brock - Eagles junior field general bullseyed 10 of 14 pass attempts for 183 yards and 3 TDs in J-B’s 54-8 win over Johnson County Central. Half of his completions were caught by Brody Koehler, who had 116 receiving yards and a touchdown in the big win.
*Carson McDonald, Colby Yates-McCool Junction - QB Carson McDonald completed 8 of 11 passes for 133 yards and 3 TDs in the Mustangs tight 30-22 win over an improving East Butler squad. Sophomore Colby Yates had 3 receptions for 115 yards and 2 TDs and returned a kickoff 78 yards for a 3rd score in the win.
*Jayce Hass- Hemingford - Sophomore caught 2 passes, both touchdowns (27, 2 yards), returned a punt 65 yards for a score, logged 7 tackles and picked off a pass in the Spudpickers, I mean Bobcats 68-0 shutout of Kimball.
*Kam Sealey- Sandy Creek - Super Soph QB hit 15 of 16 passes for 133 yards and 3 TDs, rushed 6 times for 70 yards and 2 more scores and had 2 tackles in the Cougars 48-8 win over Tri-County.
*Trevor Trimble, Zander Welsh-Pender - Senior Trevor Trimble gained 144 yards on 12 carries with a pair of TDs while junior QB Zander Welsh hit 7-7 passes for 76 yards and 3 touchdowns in Pender’s 55-8 win over Tri-County NE.
*Trayven Kluthe-Cedar Bluffs - Another Kluthe on the loose for the ‘Cats! In a 48-42 win over Omaha Christian, Trayven exploded for 236 yards and SIX touchdowns on 33 carries and 12 solo tackles on defense in the high scoring affair.
