Week Four Friday Night Lights Football Heroes - 11-Man

*Jaydon Sutko-Elkhorn South - The jet-propelled bruiser rambled for 156 yards and five touchdowns on just 12 carries in the Storm’s 45-0 victory over Grand Island. Jaydon's last 4 carries in the first half were for touchdown runs covering 17, 3, 25 and 57 yards to go along with a 4 yarder earlier in the half.
*Parker Zikmund, Corbin Kyes, Wyatt Dent-Central City - In the Bison’s 53-0 win over Nebraska City last Thursday where the starters played only a half of football; QB Parker Zikmund was perfect through the air, completing 10 of 10 passes for 202 yards and 2 TDs. State Sprint Champion Wyatt Dent caught 3 of those passes for 126 yards and a pair of TDs, including an electrifying 85 yard jet-propelled sprint to the house. Dent also had a 51 yard punt return to paydirt during the game. Punishing RB Corbin Kyes rushed 11 times for 110 yards and a score which included a 26 yard TD run in the win.
*Nathan Timmerman-Norfolk Catholic - Looks to me like “Renaissance Man” would best describe Norfolk Catholic’s Nathan Timmerman in a 35-7 win over Arlington. Timmerman rushed 13 times for 81 yards with touchdown runs covering 13 and 14 yards, caught three passes for 34 yards, including a six yard TD reception, THREW a 34 yard TD pass to Will Brockhaus and had 12 tackles with five solos defensively. I wonder if he even striped the field?
*Kip Brigham, Jase Kaminski, Eli Shada, Harrison Krueger-Wahoo - The remarkable Kip Brigham continued his rushing assault in the Warriors 49-0 win over Omaha Gross. Brigham fired away for 258 yards and four TD sprints covering 71, 13, 59 and 28 yards on 16 carries and caught 2 passes for 12 yards, one of which was a 9 yard score. QB Jace Kaminski was nearly perfect through the air, completing 10 of 11 passes for 168 yards and a pair of scores. On defense Eli Shada had 8 tackles which included a sack, while teammate Harrison Krueger matched Eli’s 8 tackles with a TFL.
*Grayson Sack, Graham Stava, Jackson Gangwish, Connor Haney-GICC - Crusader QB Grayson Sack lit up the stat board in Central Catholic's 50-0 win at Superior. Sack completed 8 of 13 passes for 182 yards with a TD and rushed 8 times for 155 yards and three more scores. Senior speedster Graham Stava caught 5 of Grayson’s 8 passes, good for 155 yards. One of those catches was a sweet 80 yard touchdown grab by the fleet-footed Stava. On the defensive side, sophomore Jackson Gangwish recorded 14 tackles, 9 of which were solos while 4 were for losses. Not far in the rear-view was senior Connor Haney who had 12 tackles (9 solos) and an interception. As a team the Crusaders recorded 14 tackles for losses in the rout.
*Kade Hudson, Brogan Benes-Boone Central - Cardinals dual threat QB Kade Hudson completed 12 of 25 passes for 203 yards and three TDs while rushing 11 times for another 112 yards with another score in Boone Central's 55-13 conquest of Wood River. All-State RB Brogan Benes rushed 11 times for 99 yards and 2 TDs and caught 2 passes for 58 yards, one of which was a touchdown in the win.
*Jordon Williams-Ord - Fabulous junior QB Jordan Williams had a night to remember in Ord’s 35-0 win over Broken Bow. Williams completed 6 of 10 passes for an even 100 yards and three TDs, rushed 20 times for 131 yards and two more scores, made 4 tackles and pirated 2 passes defensively for the Chanticleers. This kid is REALLY good!
*Drew Kulus-Omaha Concordia - Basketball wizard knows what to do when he gets an oval-shaped ball in his hands. The Concordia QB completed 10 out of 16 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns, rushed 18 times for 108 yards and another pair of scores and made 7 tackles in a recent 42-27 victory over Falls City. Hey, don't look now but Omaha Concordia is undefeated (4-0) four weeks into the 2025 football season.
*Will Anderson, Bryce Johnson-Bellevue West - The Will Anderson to Bryce Johnson pass/ catch connection was working in Bellevue West’s 29-21 loss to powerful Omaha Westside. Anderson completed 23 of 35 passes for 317 yards and 3 TDs while Bryce Johnson caught 8 of those aerials for 169 yards with TD catches covering 53 and 9 yards. The talented Johnson already has 509 receiving yards and sports a 25.5 per catch average after just four games in 2025.
*Michael Knudson, Bryce Lakers-Gretna - Speaking of spectacular pass/catch combinations, Gretna’s Michael Knudson to Bryce Lakers seems to be a week after week thing in 2025, just as it was a year ago. In a 31-21 loss to Class B #1 Elkhorn North, Knudson completed 26 of 49 passes for 375 yards with 2 TDs. Bryce Lakers was on the receiving end of eight of those throws for 189 yards with both catches going for touchdowns covering 35 and 22 yards.
*Everest Scherlizin, Tay Tay Jenkins, Braylon Warren-Omaha Westside - Challenged a little bit in their 29-21 win over Bellevue West, Omaha Westside turned to kicker Everest Scherlizin, who's State Record 5 field goals covering 27, 24, 32, 35 and 34 yards proved to be a big difference in the contest. The Westside running game was also working as Tay Tay Jenkins rambled for 156 yards on 18 carries with a 57 yard TD run. QB Braylon Warren was also effective, rushing 12 times for 149 yards with a 2 yard TD run included in the mix.
*Tillman Melscheimer, Caden Annis, Kaden Korth-Gretna East - Sophomore backup QB Tillman Melscheimer continues to fill in well for injured Gretna East signal caller, Chase Grow. In the Griffins 35-13 win over Lincoln Standing Bear, Melsheimer completed 16 of 25 passes for 275 yards and three TDs. Caden Annis grabbed 3 of the sophomore's passes for 123 yards, two of which were touchdowns. Junior Kicker Kaden Korth also had a big game, going 3 for 3 on PAT attempts and 2 out of 3 on field goal tries with the longest 3 pointer traveling 40 yards.
*Kaleb Fenner, Maddox Wentworth-Yutan - Fenner scooted for 130 yards and a pair of TDs on only 8 carries in The Chieftains 54-6 win over Conestoga. Maddox Wentworth had a 42 yard pick six in the game.
*Tristan Campbell-McCook - The great Tristan Campbell erupted for 245 yards and 4 TDs on 21 carries, made six tackles and logged an interception in the Bison's 42-3 win over Crete.
*Derek Tonjes, Cal Kissinger-Ashland-Greenwood - The Derek Tonjes to Cal Kissinger pass/ catch duo was lethal in Ashland-Greenwood’s 56-13 win over Auburn. The Bluejays QB completed 13 of 15 passes for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns while Kissinger latched on to six of those aerials for 131 yards and 3 scores.
*Jasiah Summerfield, Dayton Collins, Bulldog “D”-Omaha Burke - Bulldog QB Jasiah Summerfield completed 14 of 23 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns in Burke's 37-0 victory over Omaha Bryan. Dayton Collins caught four of those passes for 152 yards and a score. The Omaha Burke defense held Bryan to 42 total yards in the contest.
*Levi Walker-Plattsmouth - Walker blitzed Lexington with 264 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries, 2 fumble recoveries and three tackles inj the Blue Devils 63-24 “W” over the Minutemen.
*Will Janssen- Syracuse - 204 yards on 23 touches, 4 TDs, 7 tackles and an interception in the Rockets 34-16 win over Lincoln Christian.
*Myles Nielsen West Point-Beemer - Nielsen rambed for 205 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries in the Cadets 48-18 win over North Bend Central. One of Nielsen's scampers was a 96 yarder.
*Owen Ohnoutka Omaha Brownell-Talbot - Broke loose for 184 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries in Brownell-Talbot's 42-0 victory over Schuyler. Ohnoutka also had 12 tackles (6 solos, 2 TFL) on defense.
*Trevin Grabowski-Centura - Tough running senior bolted for 160 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries in Centura’s exciting 25-22 victory over Valentine. Grabowski also had five tackles in the game.
*Landon Roth, Zeb Reil Milford - QB Roth was 14-24 passing for 203 yards and FIVE TDs in Milford's 45-14 victory over Fairbury. Zeb Reil caught 6 of Roth's passes for 96 yards and a pair of TD catches and also made 3 tackles and pirated a pass on defense.
*Austin Scheuler, Gavin Dean, Cale Sheets-Fremont Bergen - Knights QB Scheuler was on fire in Archbishop Bergen's 47-6 win over Battle Creek. The talented quarterback hit 19 of 23 passes for 342 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Gavin Dean led all receivers with 136 yards on 4 receptions and two touchdowns while Cale Sheets caught 5 balls for 96 yards and an additional 2 scores.
