AREA FOOTBALL TEAMS AND THEIR 1000 YARD RUSHERS
The 1000 Yard Guy figured it was prime time for a listing of all these shining stars from McCook, Cambridge, Arapahoe, Wauneta-Palisade, and a now closed schools, Bartley and Culbertson. These are the players I have documentation on and have been properly submitted to me. If there are ANY I have overlooked, please feel free to contact me or post. My biggest fear is to overlook a deserving young man. It has not been verified. Cambridge had their first recorded World-Herald All-Stater's so far back, they listed only their last names. Mousel, a guard, and Easter, a HB were on that 1924 mythical team. For many, many years, the WH All-State team comprised all classes. It was the equivalent of the modern day Super-State squad. Cambridge had more than just these two boys listed on these teams throughout the years.........rich tradition. We will be doing more of this in the future. See you on the sidelines. |
