Anytime Fitness grabs national second win for 2026

McCOOK, Neb. — Anytime Fitness has again proved to be the best gym for 2026, scoring top honors in yet another major publication.
On Wednesday, USA Today honored the gym with the title of #1 Best Gym in the United States.
“This recognition is exciting because it validates what we strive for every day — creating a gym where everyone feels like they belong,” said Aubrey Swanson, general manager of the McCook facility. “Whether someone is walking into a gym for the first time or training for their next competition, our goal is to make every member feel supported, encouraged and successful. We’re grateful to be part of a brand that’s setting the standard nationally while continuing to invest in our local community.”
Ten gyms were selected for nomination by an expert panel and were voted on by readers as the best in the country. Those gyms were nominated by an expert panel and were voted on by readers as the best in the country. Some have specializations like boxing, barre, or yoga, and others, but they all offer exceptional facilities, equipment, classes, instructors and amenities.
The publication wrote, “Anytime Fitness provides members with 24/7 gym access at over 5,000 locations worldwide. Each club features a full suite of cardio machines, free weights, and strength-training equipment, plus functional tools like kettlebells and resistance bands. Many locations offer personal training, small group sessions, and wellness coaching. Clean, private showers and a supportive app with workout tracking and virtual programs add to the convenience.”
This ranking is quite a jump from their seventh-place finish last year.
Anytime Fitness now has two wins under its belt for this year. In April, Newsweek also ranked the gym as the number one gym in the country.
“We could not have done it without you. Thank you for being part of what makes this community so special. From showing up consistently to putting in the work, our members are the reason we stand out,” Anytime Fitness headquarters responded to the honor. “We are proud to be part of your routine, your progress, and your fitness journey. We are committed to continuing to deliver the coaching, support, and community you count on every time you walk through our doors.”
