Rebels capture second place at state fastpitch tourney

The McCook Rebels 14-and-under fastpitch softball team took second at last weekend’s Class C ASA state tournament in Hastings. These Rebels roared through five state foes with wins Hastings Heat, 5-4; Angels 13-2; Lincoln Eclipse 5-1; Prodigy Morgan 4-2 and Adams Silver, 8-7; before dropping a 6-2 state final to the Wayne Dirt Devils late Sunday.
