DC-S Tigers capture another title as do younger Bison

McCOOK, Neb. — The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers captured another championship with their 44-28 victory over McCook High’s girls in a Tuesday Night league championship game at Graff Events Center.
DC-S avenged an earlier loss this month with many players who were part of last winter’s run to a historic first Class D-1 high school girls basketball title.
Coach Matt Schaub again directed the DC-S team through this Tuesday night tournament at MCC.
Coach Amy Scheil’s Bison claimed second place with earlier wins on Tuesday over Southern Valley and Decatur-Community Oberlin, Kan., both by double digits.
McCook took home its own title with a well-earned overtime JV finals victory over Decatur Community-Oberlin (Kan.) by a 15-13 final count.
