Wild West volleyball all-stars take over Graff Sunday
McCOOK, Neb. — A group of top volleyball talent including four McCook High 2026 grads will play at Sunday's annual Wild West All-Star Volleyball Classic set for 2 p.m. in McCook Community College's Graff Evemts Cemter.
The annual showcase event will be three round-robin matches to determine a champion. Former top area and MCC players also coach the three squads.
Team 1
Kayten Hagan will coach a squad of Cambridge's Mallory Springer, Southwest twins Annikka Nelms and Kyra Nelms; Hitchcock County's Asia Homma, Kristyn Cheek from Maxwell, Kaley Sauser of Wallace and Ogallala's Addison Slama.
Team 2
Emmerie Rios is coaching team 2 featuring McCook's Bailee Foster and Jaylea Walgren; Chase County's Hayley Rusher, Karlie Anderson and Riley Rusher; Ogallala's Hayden Shaw and Laney Caskey.
Team 3
Former Southwest and MCC star Caylin Barnett coaches Team 3 with McCook's Karstyn Porter and Abby Renner; Dundy County-Stratton's Clara Spargo, Maywood-Hayes Center's Karissa Stengel and Arpahoe's Emma Strand.
