McCOOK, Neb. — McCook Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Cedar Inn, 1401 East C Street, shortly after 2 p.m. Monday. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and one subject was arrested.

According to McCook Police Chief Kevin Hodgson, when officers arrived, they spoke with the individuals involved and discovered suspected controlled substances and a prohibited weapon. After an investigation determined that a domestic disturbance had indeed occurred, Rylee Wing, 24, was arrested on suspicion of committing third degree domestic assault, assault by strangulation, possession of a controlled substance, third-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, disturbing the peace, possession of marijuana - less than an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While investigating, the officers had reason to believe Wing was involved in a separate case, and was also charged with theft by unlawful taking and possession of a legend drug, which is the possession of a prescription medication without having a prescription for that drug.

Wing was transported to and lodged at the Red Willow County Jail and the charges will be forwarded to the office of County Attorney Paul Wood.
