Lynda Kreutzer

HASTINGS, Neb. — Lynda L. Kreutzer passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Hastings, Neb.

She was born on September 9, 1961, in McCook, Neb., to Kermit and Charlene Arterburn.

Lynda grew up in McCook and graduated from McCook High School and McCook Community College. She earned her Education Degree from Kearney State College. On October 10, 1987, Lynda married David Kreutzer and they were blessed with children, Jacob and Emma. Lynda became a constant and loving presence in many Grand Island families as she cared for many children during her 30 years of home daycare.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kermit Arterburn; infant daughters, Amelia and Rachel; brother, Dan Arterburn; brother-in-law, Jim Winchell; and father-in-law, Ron Kreutzer.

Her memory is cherished by her husband, David Kreutzer of Hastings, Neb.; son, Jacob and Heather Kreutzer; daughter, Emma and Josh Sugita all of Lincoln, Neb.; four grandchildren that lovingly called her Lolli; mother, Charlene Arterburn of McCook, Neb.; brother, Tom (Cindi) Arterburn of McCook, Neb.; sisters, Deb Winchell of York, Neb. and Chris (Randy) Zwickle of McCook, Neb.; half-sister, Becky Bailey of Oregon; mother-in-law, Sharon Kreutzer; brother-in-law, Richard (Carol) Kreutzer; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Bryan) Hanson and Susan (Lyle) Wurst; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church of Grand Island in the Life Center. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Life Center. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island, Neb.
