Familiar RPAC foes split pair on Cambridge court
CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Both rival RPAC schools went home with a win when Cambridge and Southern Valley met on the basketball floor Tuesday night.
Southern Valley’s boys earned their first victory this, 55-50, as senior Isaac Hamilton has been on fire so far averaging 25 points per contest.
Cambridge senior Hodge Raburn has averaged 21.5, but the Trojans are now 1-2 following their opening road win over Hitchcock County last week.
However, the Trojans achieved at least splt in Tuesday’s varsity opener where their girls triumphed, 55-37.
Junior Brooklyn Holtze netted 18 points and senior Aspen Webb added 11. Senior Mallory Springer mixed in 12 rebounds.
The 2-1 Trojans overcame a 13-10 lead for 0-3 S.V., taking a 32-28 lead into halftime.
