In 1960, she was united in marriage to Glen Spray and to this union three children would be born, Richard, Judy and Vickie. After Glen passed away in 2000, Virginia purchased a motor home and spent time traveling countless miles across the Continental United States. She was fiercely independent and enjoyed reading, crafting and sewing. Virginia also took time to remodel many area homes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen; son, Richard; siblings, John Frickey, Jaunita Humphreys and Ron Frickey; and son-in-law William (Baldy) Hay.
