SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — McCook High coach Ben Vetrovsky offered these remarks about his Bison boys placing eighth overall at the Class B state golf tourney Tuesday and Wednesday. They improved seven strokes in that second round.

“Really proud of Reid Loop for bringing home some hardware at the Class B State Tournament.

Placing 12th and being a top 15 finisher is a great accomplishment.

Landon Kmoch was in medal contention after the first day.

Proud of his two days he just had some trouble around the green that enabled him from taking home a medal.

Cole Graham struggled the first day, but I was proud of his grit to bounce back and shoot a sub 80 round 77 on the second day.

Kolton Koetter played solid the two days. He ended up taking a few big numbers that held him back from shooting in the low 80s and being in the medal contention.

Trenton Raile struck the ball really well but took a couple big numbers as well.”

“We had a successful season and the players should be extremely proud of what they accomplished this year. I know the players will work hard this summer and in the offseason so we can be a state contender this next season.”
