SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — McCook's Landon Kmoch shares the final medal shot and junior Reid Loop is one stroke off that pace with Class B state golfers playing their final 18 holes today.

Kmoch carded 80 while Loop shot 81 to lead the Bison team, currently tied for seventh among 12 that qualified. Norris leads at 311, defending Class B champ York is 10 strokes back with 321 and host Scottsbluff totaled 323 on Tuesday.

Elkhorn North and Waverly complete the current top five after both totaled 332. Omaha Skutt's 338 is just one stroke better than Bison.

McCook was aiming for a better first-day performance after winning the B-4 district tournament last week.

Kmoch parred five of his first nine holes on Tuedsay but just two through those final nine.

Loop delivered a beautiful birdie to close his first 18 holes after dealing with 10 bogeys on Scottsbluff Municipal Golf Course.

McCook junior Kolton Koetter delivered the third Bison round of 86 which shared 38th place through Tuesday. He parred three of his first four holes before running into some state trouble following him around 12 of those next 14 fairways with just two more pars.

Senior Cole Graham's 92 finished the Bison first-round team score and sophomore Trenton Raile tallied a round of 93.
