Class D area girls win five state championships

OMAHA, Neb. — All the Gazette-area girls results from Class D track-field state competition at Burke Stadium last weekend. Top eight placers earn state medals:

Friday

CHAMPIONS and MEDALISTS

Discus: 1. Kennedy Bailey, Dundy County-Stratton, 127'; 2. K. Strampher, Silver Lake, 122'1"; 9. Brynn Baily, SV, 115'10".

Long jump: 1. Adi Hunt, Southern Valley, 17'11 1/2"; 2. M. Hedstrom, St. Mary's, 17'5"; 12. Jalen Kent, Cambridge, 16'1 1/2"; 13. Madison Carlson, Hitchcock County, 15'11 1/4"; 15. Blayklee Farr, Maywood-Hayes Center, 15'7 1/2".
