Former Husker joining camp in McCook next month

McCOOK, Neb. — Viglianco Hoops is a basketball player development, coach based institution in Lincoln.

Thomas Viglianco (owner of Vhoops) is a former Top 100 High School Player in the country from Alabama. Viglianco played at the D1 level and nine years professionally. He trains and mentors thousandsof players throughout the USA on and off the court.

His camps include fundamentals, shooting technique and players will have a fun time learning the game.

Viglianco Hoops basketball camp will be back in McCook this summer following a successful camp this past December.

This time, Thomas will be bringing former Nebraska Cornhusker standout and current European professional, Sam Griesel to help instruct participants.

Event Format: This two-day camp will take place on Thursday, June 20 & Friday, June 21.

One hour and a half per division, pe day.

Divisions/Dates: Participants should register for the grade they will be entering in the 2024-2025 school year.

June 20

5th-6th Boys 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

5th-8th Girls 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.

7th-8th Boys 2 p..m.-3:30p.m.

June 21

5th-6th Boys 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

5th-8th Girls 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

7th-8th Boys 1 p.m.-2:20 p.m.

Registration began on Wednesday.

Participants register individually.

Online registration is highly recommended to expedite the league management process and to avoid data entry errors. A current email address is required for all participants at time of registration as all camp communications with parents will be conducted through email.

Registration Fee/Deadline: $20 if registered by midnight on Monday, June 17 . Walk-up registrations will be accepted on the day of camp (June 20).

Walk-up registration fee is $25.

Equipment: Basketball/Athletic shoes are recommended. Black sole or non-athletic shoes are prohibited. Gym shorts are recommended. Participants are highly encouraged to bring their own basketball and water bottle.
