Born on Oct. 3, 1957 in Scottsbluff, Neb. to Deloris (Grandt) and Robert (Bob) Myers, Sharon joined older sister Patty and was followed a few years later by little brother Dennis. The family eventually moved to Indianola, Neb. to a farm that would become the center of generations of family life. This is where Sharon gained her love of the outdoors and country living.

One of her first jobs was as an aid in a nursing home in McCook, Neb., which inspired her to attend Clarkson University to train to be a nurse. She later became a respiratory therapist and worked at Sidney Memorial Hospital. Sharon was a jill of all trades, later working as a grocery store clerk, customer service associate at Cabela’s, a bartender and cook. She owned her own cleaning business for many years. She retired from Agri-Plastics in 2022. Whether it was caring for patients, frying chicken, or making buckets, Sharon was an incredibly hard worker who took great pride in everything she did, and almost always with a smile on her face.

Sharon was the proud mother of two daughters, Kelley and Jamie, and the proud grandmother of three grandsons, Hunter, Hayden, and Gabriel. Her family will forever miss card games, macaroni and cheese, listening to Sharon sing along to the radio, and the laughter she brought with her everywhere she went. She loved gardening, making crafts, and cleaning.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Mark Swayze, and grandson Gabriel Bourgoin.

She is survived by her daughter Kelley and son-in-law Andre Bourgoin of Stillwater, Okla., daughter Jamie Sittner and grandsons Hunter and Hayden of Sidney, sister Patty Swayze of Sidney, brother Dennis and sister-in-law Cheryl Myers of Ogallala, Neb., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
