Tuesday, February 6, 2024

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. - Tri Valley Health System is offering nursing students up to $20,000 each year for two years to assist with the cost of their education. The assistance will cover tuition, books, and other related expenses at an accredited nursing school.

The assistance will be forgiven through the student’s employment at Tri Valley Health System.

Accepted students will also be enrolled in a mentorship program with experienced nurses at Tri Valley Health System that will foster a sense of belonging and commitment to Tri Valley Health System and help support them through their education.

Tri Valley Medical Foundation helped provide the funding that made this program possible. Tri Valley Medical Foundation President Jackie Shoemaker said, “Tri Valley Medical Foundation is excited to partner with Tri Valley Health System on the nursing tuition assistance program. The continued need for nurses is a challenge that numerous health care facilities face and Tri Valley Health System has worked hard to design a program that we are excited to support. The nursing tuition assistance aligns perfectly with the Foundation’s scholarship initiatives and mission.”

Interim CEO Clay Jordan stated, “We are hopeful that this tuition assistance program will address our nursing shortage and also foster a more supportive, professional, and engaged nursing workforce. We are so grateful for the Foundation’s consideration for this program.”

To be considered for the Nursing Tuition Assistance Program, applications are due by May 1 and are available at www.trivalleyhealth.com/foundation-scholarships or you may contact the Tri Valley Health System’s Human Resources office, (308) 697-1136 or hr@trivalleyhealth.com.
