CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Senior Brohdey Wood’s 20 points and 19 rebounds powered a 58-52 Cambridge boys win over Southern Valley Tuesday evening.

The undefeated Trojans (3-0) started 17-10 then held off every Eagle comeback despite senior Kamden Bose’s own 20-point effort.

Sophomore Brady Ahlemeyer delivered a brilliant outside complement to Wood as he drilled three of four shots from beyond the arc.

Ahlemeyer and senoir Carson Trompke each tossed in 12 points with senior Ben Hoberty adding nine.

Southern Valley (0-3) got nine points from sophomore Isaac Hamilton and senior Rian Grove’s seven.

Hunt went six-for-six from two-point range while Bose buried four three-pointers in seven shots.

Cambridge (2-1) got eight points from Elizabeth Kubik. Mallory Springer and Brooklyn Holtz each scored five.
