Things were “Kinda Corny” for McCook’s Heritage Days 2023. The Heritage Days parade had 85 official entries on a cool but festive Saturday morning. Winners included: Antique Car — Dick Trail; Antique Farm Machinery — Pinkham Farms; Class Reunion — MHS Class of 1993 (second row from top, left); Classic Car — Roger Moreau (top); Community Organization/Church/Civic — St. John Lutheran Church; Large Business (26 or more employees) Kinship Pointe McCook; Small Business (25 or less employees) Common Scents; Top Marching Band — McCook Public Schools; Youth Division — Jazlyn Hart. Also making appearances were Donald Trump and a pair of horses that identify as elephants, the Kyle Sayler Band and Ginger ten Bensel on the Norris Park Bandshell and dozens of vendors in Norris Park.
