McCOOK, Neb. — Some late-night craziness broke out Tuesday night as the McCook National Bank Seniors went on a 10-0 run to rally past Imperial, 10-7.

Imperial was seemingly cruising up 6-0 despite two or three highly-disputed call taking extra bases away from the visitors. Jarrett Peterson's double down the left-field line made it 2-0 with Thomas Reeves and Tysen Lempke both scoring.

Ensuing RBI-singles from Carson Lempke and Mason Wallin finished a 4-0 advantage before MNB had even take one swing.

Carter Leibbrandt pitched four scoreless innings until the approaching summer solstice burned Imperial's victory plans.

The first signs of trouble were an infield error on Brody Graham's grounder and Carter Larson being plunked by an inside Leibbrandt pitch.

Facing an 0-2 count, Trenton Raile then ripped an RBI-double into left that sent Graham motoring home.

Bryson Gullion walked on four pitches and another errant baseball hit top MNB hitter Gabe Roberts.

Larson strolled home and — if this wasn't spooky enough — Quentin Terry took another pitch off his chiseled stature and Raile scored to cut Imperial's 6-0 lead in half.

Miles Pollmann's grounder was the first out but scored Gullion.

Tristan Campbell then unleashed the first big MNB hit, doubling home both Terry and Roberts for a sudden 6-6 deadlock.

Tyson Lempke relieved Leibbrandt and soon retired two that ended the fifth inning.

However, MNB went right back to work courtesy of another rally-starting Imperial fielding error.

Raile reached safely, Gullion walked again as did "Q" Terry.

Pollmann put another ball in play and — sure enough — this one turned into a go-ahead base hit as Raile made it 7-6.

Roberts had earlier reached on a fielder's choice, and he soon crossed home thanks to another wild pitch.

How fitting that Graham would deliver the clincher since he started MNB's comeback when down six. He singled into center field, scoring both Darrin Neben and Pollmann for a 10-6 advantage.

Gavin Wisineski singled home Tyson Lempke for one more Imperial run, but Roberts soon finished MNB's victory when he struck out the final batter.

Roberts worked four strong innings in relief of starter Coleton Lentz. He struck out five, walked just one and surrendered three Imperial hits.

Imperial still outhit MNB, 10-7, yet four fielding errors proved devastating while MNB made just one.
