DILLON, Colo. - Thomas Gary Lucas, 59, of Dillon, Colo., passed away in Lakewood, Colo. on June 5, 2023 after a brief battle with brain cancer.

Tom was born on July 14th, 1963 to Gary Lucas and DiAnne (Dinetz) Lucas in Greeley, Colo. He graduated from McCook High School in McCook, Neb. and attended Kearney State College.

Tom was a very hard worker throughout his life. He started working various jobs as a teenager in McCook and he continued his hard work until his last position as a ski instructor in The Rocky Mountains, an area that he loved. He was a passionate sports fan of all of the Denver sports teams, along with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lucas.

He is survived by his mother, DiAnne Dinetz of Des Moines, Iowa; wife Gillian (Goode) Lucas Bailey, Colo.; children, Ryan (Savannah) Lucas of Portland, Ore., Evelyn Lucas of Denver, Colo., and Sean Lucas of Bailey, Colo.; grandchildren Olivia and Bentley Lucas of Portland, Ore.; and brother Tracy (Amy) Lucas of Des Moines, Iowa.

Services will be held at a later time and date to be determined.
