Rebels roaring along at 8-2-1 after topping of Imperial

McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Rebels fastpitch girls are now 8-2-1 this season following 11-0 and 18-0 beatdowns of Imperial Thursday night.

Coach Lance Gillen’s 16-and-under team rebounding from a 4-1 loss to Shockwave 18-and-under in Sunday’s Wahoo Tournament title game.

The Rebels had won three straight at Wahoo to go with a 9-4 victory over North Platte’s Belles last week.

They also own victories over Crete Diamond, Prodigy from Grand Island and Chaos 18-U.

The Rebels will be busy again in this weekend’s Hays (Kan.) Tournament at Bickle-Schmidt Sports Complet. They’ll play the Adrenaline at 9 a.m., Hays Hustle at 11 a.m. and Flames of Nebraska Red Hots at 3:30 p.m.
