Killer Bees buzz Funeral Chapel as summer ball heats up

Baseball is clearly tearing diamonds up this week as the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel team (above) dropped a 13-1 home decision to those Gothenburg Killer Bees. Meanwhile, the Rockies and Pirates (below) played a thriller at Felling Field Monday evening where those teams were tied 9-9 at last check.

McCOOK, Neb. — McCook’s Legion baseball season hits full speed this week and more coverage will arrive now that high school sports are almost finished for 2022-23.

McCook’s Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel fell into an early casket which was unescapable during a 13-1 loss to Gothenburg’s visiting Killer Bees Monday evening.

Pinnacle Bank and Herrmann Jones are home again tonight in Legion B Juniors action.

Pinnacle plays Cozad while Herrmann Jones takes on Alma. Both games have a 6:30 p.m. scheduled first pitch.

The McCook First Central Bank Juniors are joining those McCook National Bank Seniors for a doubleheader at Lexington tonight.

First Central Bank starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Seniors set for 8 p.m.
