McCOOK, Neb. - Angela “Angie” Ranie Mockery, age 57 passed away at her home in McCook, on May 21, 2023.

She was born on December 18, 1965, At St. Catherine’s Hospital in McCook, to Darrel and Doris (Hansen) Messersmith. Angie attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1985.

On June 12, 1999, Angie was united in marriage to Robert Mockery. The couple made their home in McCook. Angie was employed by Mac’s Drive In for over 23 years. She later was employed by Valmont Industry for 13 years as an electrical assembler. She enjoyed camping at Red Willow Reservoir. Angie enjoyed making Christmas candies, fudge, cherry mash, and peanut brittle. She collected penguins. Angie was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her father Darrel.

Angie is survived by her husband, Rob; daughters, Aleece (Travis) Priest of Council Grove, Kan.; Sarah Messersmith of Panama City, Fla,; and Becca Mockry of McCook; son, Jacob Mockry of McCook; 2 grandchildren, Alex and Josh Priest; mother, Doris Messersmith of McCook; brothers, Darrell (Rita) Messersmith and Darin “Woody” Messersmith, both of McCook; sister, Sharriea Burke of McCook.

Funeral services for Angie will be held on Fri., May 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in McCook with Pastor Barry Johnson officiating.

Visitation will be held at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel on Thur., May 25, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
