Sharpshooting Eagle girls take down Cambridge

OXFORD, Neb. — Southern Valley outshot Cambridge throughout a 54-29 Eagles triumph Tuesday evening.

The S.V. girls (2-1 record) hit seven three-pointers to 2-1 Cambridge’s two.

They also made 47 percent of their two-point shots while holding those Trojans to 37.5 percent.

Junior Ann Bose dropped in her usual team-high 19 points with five assists, four rebounds and four steals.

Teammate Brynn Baily stepped up to hit eight of 10 shots for 17 points.

Plus Tori Bose tallied another 14 for coach Richard McDonald’s teams.

Leading 24-13, the Eagles really heated up for 24 in their third quarter.

Brylyn Springer’s eight points paced Cambridge while seniors Breelle Miller and Jacey Kent netted six apiece.
