McCook girls garner sixth at Class B state

McCOOK, Neb, — Junior Sienna Dutton and freshman Emma Cappel both earned Top 10 medals while McCook High's girls earn sixth place at the Class C state meet Friday afternoon.

The Bison took this high spot despite sensational senior Samantha Rodwald not finishing this race because of illness on an 80-degree afternoon.

Sophomore Josiah Wilkinson finished his great season with a No. 9 place among Class C-1 boys.

Trevin Moreno placed 68 while representing the Chase County boys.

In Class D, the district champion Cambridge Trojans placed 15th overall

Medicine Valley freshman Kael Garrett placed 56th and Southwest senior Cole Barnett placed 84th.
