Tuesday, September 6, 2022

McCOOK, Neb. — Now in its 7th year, Big Give McCook continues to grow, both in the number of organizations participating and in the communities served.

More than 30 nonprofit organizations will be part of the 2022 Big Give McCook on Thursday, Nov. 3.

Since then, the one-day giving event has expanded to 33 organizations to not just McCook, but across Southwest Nebraska from Cambridge to Curtis to Stratton. New organizations this year are the McCook Community Kitchen, located in the Keystone Business Center; the Curtis Senior Center; Medicine Valley Public Schools Foundation; and Spark Nebraska, the McCook children’s museum.

The format will be similar to years past, taking place from midnight to midnight. But also incorporating some of the changes over the years, including drive-through stations at McCook Christian Church and Hillcrest Nursing Home. Other special events on Nov. 3 are in the works and will be announced soon.

Big Give McCook began in 2016 as a collaboration between the Community Chest of McCook and the McCook Community Foundation Fund, organized by a dedicated group of volunteers.
