Armor coating delayed to Wednesday

McCOOK, Neb. — The armor coating contractor that was expected to begin work on McCook streets today has delayed the work until Wednesday, according to the City of McCook.

Bad weather in other parts of the state caused the delay, officials said.

“We request that citizens who live in these areas remove all vehicles from the streets listed below. Once the oil and gravel are applied on your street, the street will be opened for use,” according to the original release.

The following streets are scheduled to be armor coated:

⦁ Missouri Avenue Circle

⦁ West 1st Street from West “D” Street to West “J” Street

⦁ West 2nd Street from “J” Street to West “O” Street

⦁ West 3rd Street from West “C” Street to West “D” Street; and
from West “E” Street to West “K” Street; and
from West “Q” Street to just north of Washington Street

⦁ West 12th Street from West “F” Street to West “H” Street; and
from West “J” Street to West “M” Street

⦁ West 13th Street from West “H” Street and West “I” Street

⦁ West “E” Street from West 1st Street to West 4th Street

⦁ West “F” Street from West 1st Street to West 4th Street; and
from West 10th Street to the alley west of West 12th Street

⦁ West “H” Street from West 1st Street to West 4th Street

⦁ West “I” Street from West 12th Street to the alley between West 13th Street and West
14th Street

⦁ West “K” Street from West 1st Street to the alley between West 3rd Street and West 4th
Street

⦁ West “M” Street from West 1st Street to West 2nd Street

 “The contractor doing the work will be Figgins Construction out of Red Cloud, Nebraska. It will be up to them as to where they start and what order the streets will be completed. The work should take 2 – 3 days to complete, weather permitting.
