McCOOK, Neb. — Early 2-0 and 3-0 holes didn’t bother the First Central Bank Juniors at all during impressive wins over Medicine Valley Tuesday evening.

The McCook Legion Post 203 team took game one, 14-2, and followed with an 8-3 victory for their first doubleheader sweep this season.

Superb balance told the story throughout game one.

Bryson Gullion, Payton Dellevoet, Quentin Terry and Layton Bortner all belted two hits.

Quillion, Dellevoet, Terry and Cole Graham drove home two runs apiece.

Ethan Schmidt, Dellevoet, Bortner, Brett Fraker and Nathaniel Miller each scored twice.

Terry’s triple supported strong pitching from Graham, who didn’t permit a single hit during his three innings on the hill. Graham also drilled a double for coach Coy Terry’s team. FCB tripled its season win total from one to three on this evening.

Medicine Valley showed great resiliency, taking a quick three-run advantage in the second contest.

However, Dellevoet’s two RBIs and a Bortner double fueled the FCB recovery to win 8-3.

Jalen Collicott and Landon Kmoch each tallied one run to help this victory.

Graham, Terry and Miller teamed to allow four Med Valley hits while fanning four.
