The family of Steve Fries of McCook, Neb., is requesting a card shower in honor of his 80th birthday on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was born in rural Hitchcock County and graduated from Culbertson High School. He farmed and ranched near Beverly, Neb., for over 50 years before retiring and moving to McCook. He and his wife, Carla, enjoy traveling and RV camping with family and friends. His family includes daughter, Steffenie Fries of Culbertson, son, Travis (Suzanne) Fries of Kearney; and grandchildren, Benjamin and Emma Fries.
