Bison alum wins Gold Glove for college team

WICHITA, Kan. — McCook High alum Kaden Sitzman won a league “Gold Glove” while earning a spot on the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball team this spring.

Sitzman pitched for Kansas Wesleyan University which posted a 32-18 record this season in a full year of last year’s COVID craziness.

Sitzman earned league “Pitcher of The Week” honors among many highlights in his senior campaign.

Unfortunately, a quick search of the team webpage didn’t reveal any other season statstics.

Sitzman graduated from McCook High in 2017. He was a top pitcher and hitter on the McCook National Bank Senior Legion baseball team.

Now Kaden will be coaching the Legion seniors entering a full schedule of games in 2021.
