Chase girls outrun Indians, Raiders for team title!

Monday, April 5, 2021

OGALLALA, Neb. — Chase County's girls outscored multiple Class B teams and won the Ed Moore Track-Field Invitational on Thursday.

The Longhorns totaled 156 points as Longhorns like Bryn McNair and Jerzee Milner earned spots among Nebraska's best for all classes while winning events.

Coach Troy Hauxwell provided these remarks:

"We enjoy seeing the competition of the bigger schools. This gives us an idea of where we are at and what we need to work on," he said. "We had some girls step up and surprise us with where they are at for this point in the season. We were pleased with all the girls and the way they competed.

"Kamrie (Dillan) had a strong day in the 100 and 200. Bryn turned in great performances in the 400, 800 and High Jump. Jerzee Milner is off to a good start in the hurdles with wins in the 100 and 300."

"We are just glad to be back on the track and competing. We had a great group of Seniors who never had the opportunity last year," Hauxwell concluded. "So this year we are just enjoying each and every day."
