McCOOK, Neb. — Larry Fritz Hand, age 81, of McCook, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Community Hospital in McCook.

Larry was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Edison, Neb., to parents, Albert Fritz and Hazel (White) Hand. He was the fourth of six children.

On Oct. 19, 1957, Larry married Nancy (Garver) Hand in Beaver City, Neb. To this union one son and one daughter were born. Throughout his working career, Larry managed elevators and fertilizer plants. He also owned his own New Holland Implement Dealership and was a salesman.

In his retirement, Larry was an avid wood worker. He enjoyed making wooden toys to give to children and show his friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; one brother; and his father and mother-in-law.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Nancy Hand of McCook; daughter Ginger (Bob) Brophy of Wray, Colo.; son, Jeff Hand of Kearney, Neb.; grandchildren, Shausta (Colby) Wilson of Wray, Branson Real of Las Vegas, Nev., Amy (Casey) Miller of Greeley, Colo., Kacie Hand of Wiggins, Colo.; four great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Hand of Hebron, Neb.; two sisters, Janet (Wesley) Warner of Edison and Jackie Dwyer of Elgin, Neb.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A graveside memorial service will be Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Edison Cemetery in Edison, Neb., with Pastor Clark Bates officiating.
