Raiders fall short, but 4-2 overall

CURTIS, Neb. — South Loup proved tough to contain throughout a 56-35 girls basketball win over Medicine Valley Friday night.

Both teams brought 4-1 records into the conest.

South Loup took a 12-8 lead through one quarter which reached 27-16 by halftime.

Senior Acelyn Klein’s 14 points paced the 4-2 Raiders.

Sophomore Milla Farr (seven points) and junior Kaylyn Roblee (six) teamed for another 13.

Freshmen Stella Heapy and Alaina Eberle added four points each for coach Derek Bantam’s improved team.

The Raiders return to action after Christmas break.
