Trojans, Tiger reach top five at Benkelman

BENKELMAN, Neb. — Gazette-area golfers took four of the top six spots while competing against a strong North Platte JV team at Wednesday’s Dundy County-Stratton Invitational.

Cambridge’s Macy Jones and Chloe Besler both finished top four while preparing for another state tournament quest starting with districts next week.

Southwest senior Kaylie Guerrero joined them among the top five with her own goal of returning to state.

DC-S leader Lauren Bailey claimed sixth on her home course, just three strokes from top three.

McCook’s Abby Boner (152) and Kimberly Johnson (154) led the Bison eam.,
