Cloyd Hoyt of rural McCook, currently residing in Iowa, will celebrate his 102nd birthday on July 26, 2020. Cloyd is a retired farmer and community service devotee. He served on many boards, including District 8 School board, REA, Red Cross, and the Frenchmen Cambridge Irrigation District. He was instrumental in bringing electricity, telephone, and irrigation services to the Southwest Nebraska area. He is most proud of his family: late wife, Lola Burke Hoyt; children, Loree Neiman, the late Bob Hoyt, Beverly Brown and Bill Hoyt; grandchildren, Kellin (Lisa) Neiman, Jake (Allison) Neiman, Marty Hoyt, Jessica (Dave) Miller, Edie (Russ) Rushing, Berta (Justin) Weber, Sarah (Erik Niggemeyer) Brown, Becca (Matt) Sheridan, Matt (Erika) Brown, David (Lissa) Hoyt, and Daniel (Belma) Hoyt; great-grandchildren, Jacy (Travis) Shannon, Garrett (Haley) Neiman, Max and Zoe Neiman, Raylynn, Kendall and Josilin Miller, Tristan and Morgan Rushing, Aiden and Brennen Weber, Genevieve Niggemeyer, Owen and Aubrey Sheridan, Katie and Nathanial Hoyt; and great-great-grandson, Atlas Neiman.
