Kenneth Patrick Brennan

TRENTON, Neb. — Kenneth Patrick Brennan, age 50, of Trenton passed away at his home on July 18, 2020. 

He was born in Stratton, Neb., on Aug. 22, 1969, to John Edward and Anna Mae (Randall) Brennan.  Kenneth went to school in Stratton graduating from Stratton High School in 1988.  He then traveled to Salmon River, Idaho, to attend a Hunting Guide School.

Kenneth returned to Nebraska and worked for Don Potthoff at Don’s Electric. He would eventually purchase the company and start KBOilfield Company. Kenneth’s family was his world and his great-nieces and nephews were known as “his crew.”  He sponsored his nephew’s motor cross adventure, Gracie’s Suckers and also donated to many organizations around Trenton, especially if there were children or high school organizations.  He enjoyed hunting, shooting sports and fishing.  He would throw the Brennan Shindig barbecues, that brought family and friends together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna; and three brothers, John William, Joseph Michael and Jacob Ray Brennan.

Kenneth is survived by two sisters, Carol and Nolan Hanes of Trenton and his twin sister, Mary Brennan of McCook; four brothers, Bob (Linda) Brennan of Stratton, Buck (Cookie) Brennan of Cheyenne, Wyo., Paul (Betty) Brennan of Grand Junction, Colo., and Frank (Kristie) Brennan of Medicine Bow, Wyo.; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 11 a.m. A private family inurnment will take place at a future date.
